Technology

Direct Induction Heating up to 900 °C

An induction coil generates an alternating electromagnetic field that induces electrical currents within a conductive porous heating element. These currents generate heat directly inside the material.

The process medium passes through or near the heating element. Its large effective area supports heat transfer to gases, liquid fuels, micro- and nanoparticles, and multiphase streams.

  • Rapid response < 8 mins to reach 900 °C
  • Temperature controlRoboust PID control system
  • Maximum EfficiencyAlmost unity heat exchange effectivess between the heating elements and the heated medium
  • Compact architecture 25 °C to 900 °C in in less than 10cm heating configuration

Applications

Flexible Heating for High-Temperature Industrial Processes

01Industrial Process Heating

Controlled electrical heat for industrial reactors, furnaces, drying systems and high-temperature experimental facilities.

02Circular-Fuel Combustion

The heated element can support evaporation, ignition and stabilised combustion of alternative liquid fuels of liquid biofuels.

03Greenhouse Heating

Greenhouse facilities can use direct induction-heating technology for direct electirical heating or facilitate valorization of local available biofuels.

04Reverse Water–Gas Shift

Induction-assisted heating can provide high-temperature heat required for the reverse water–gas shift reaction.

CO₂ + H₂ ⇌ CO + H₂O

05Solid Particle Heating

Flowing nanoparticles and microparticles carried by a gas stream can be heated for solid-fuel ignition and combustion, gas–solid chemical reactions and particle-deposition processes.
